I chose a Zeiss Conquest 1.8-5.5x38 for my Sako .375 H&H based on its generous eye relief, magnification, quality, low light performance and cost.
The rifle has a sporter weight barrel so recoil is probably comparable.
The scopes are discontinued but can still be found.
I also like those Leupold 2.5-8's. They don't have a lot of body length so mounting it where you want it might be an issue.
