Jesus said to forgive your neighbor seventy times seven, meaning that there's no limit. Forgiving someone who's wronged you doesn't help them. They still have to face the Lord. It does, however, make you free. You can live without the resentment eating away at you. Jesus's words were a command, not a suggestion.
