I took one to a friend in South Africa in '96. It was a heavy rifle, I much preferred the Model 700 SS BDL .375 (and the Mod 700 Classic) for the mountains. I feel they are worth "paring down" for a handier rifle...or sell/trade and buy a Mod 700. Of course, some prefer the CRF and won't trust the Mod 700, I can understand.
