I been shooting the Hornady 117 gr SST bullet in my 250 Savage for several years now at a sedate velocity of 2660. The accuracy is stellar and the bullet kills just fine. I shoot the Hornady 100 gr interlock and the
Hornady 120 gr HP ( both bullets discontinued) in my 25-06. When my supply of loaded 120 gr HP's dry up I will use the 117 gr SST bullet.
Shoot and hunt with the 117 gr SST until you find a reason not to.
