A fella certainly doesn't need anything else. For years I used my 45-90 with a 480 gr. NEI bullet that reminds me of an elongated Keith type semi-wadcutter with about a 38-40 cal. meplat. It was even better than the Lyman 410655 if you can believe that. Loaded over 80 grs. of the old GOEX Ctg., I never hit an animal with that bullet that didn't go down where it stood. One mulie did take one step with a front leg before collapsing but that was it. When that bullet hit it sounded like a fence post hitting flesh.
