That 480 grain NEI bullet sounds a lot like the Lyman 457121. The Lyman is a 475 grain bullet with seven grease grooves and a nose very similar to a Keith bullet. I have used it quite a bit in my 45-70 and my 45-110, and anything hit with it goes right down. Despite its appearance, that bullet is also very accurate at long distance.
