My first was a new Winchester Model 94 30-30. I used it my first year to deer hunt, which was 1964. Never fired a shot! Kentucky didn’t have many deer back then. Wish that gun was still in my safe. It would have been a pre-64, as I bought it in the summer of 1963 from a hardware store that had probably had it in stock for a year or two. The best I remember, there was no paperwork required!
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.
