Several, but Ohio has the best rule. Any straight case 35 to 50 cal. Michigan and Indiana wrote some half assed cartridge length rule in it too. Thats why the 450 Bushmaster caught on. And Iowa just changed their regulations as well to allow some straight case rifles in shotgun zone
Correction: Ohio's rule : Straight-walled cartridge rifles in the following calibers: All straight-walled cartridge calibers from a minimum of .357 to a maximum of .50. Shotguns and straight-walled cartridge rifles can be loaded with no more than three shells in the chamber and magazine combined. (That's why I built my AR-15 in. 450bushmaster. )
