I've been looking at the Primary Arms 1x reflex sight as a possibility for my 10/22 CSC. True 1x (they say), and can be focused to suit one's vision, unlike red dots. Eye relief seems good per specs. Works with or without batteries too.
Still thinking about exactly what this rifle will be used for, so for now the 2.5-7 Weaver and green CTC laser are on it.
