I haven't cronoed my load yet but ended up at 17 gr of H110 and I don't want to push it any further.

Chronoed mine today and out of 30 rounds most were between 1240 and 1260 so I'm thinking that should work for 50 yds or less. Shooting mine out of a 686 Smith 6" barrel
That is wise since you are basically 1-1.5 grains over published and attaining velocity in the manufactures range of proper expansion. Don’t know what the hell your complaining for because those are hot, but seeings how it’s a S&W I wouldn’t expect it to last with a steady diet of those loads.
