Your net intake of lead over say the last 10 years is what matters, lead being held in fat and slow to be eliminated. I'm not a kid, pregnant woman, and I don't eat paint chips or drink bad water. Plus I don't eat fish that often. So I eat it if it's just the typical warning.

Don't know how they determine a safe level now but used to be with what amount to trace elements you test until you first see a reaction. Then divide that dose by at least 10, or maybe 100 if keeping your grant demands a little hysteria.
