There will always be rural people because that is where food and fuel are produced. From a racial point of view, I don't believe that white people are endangered. We are about 11 percent of the world population currently. People of purely European descent will likely become a minority everywhere in the world (including Europe). This is where the "white genocide" idea comes from. The reason it is not an issue of extinction is because we are one species. White people will genetically diversify (closer to hybridization but not). I don't know whether that is good or bad or neither. Our genes will continue in survive in the remaining people. In 100 years, Americans will probably look like Brazilians.

This is not just true of white people either. Jews will eventually be eliminated as a distinct genetic group with the continual outbreeding. This happens to be very upsetting to quite a few Jews and is part of the reason for the urge for them to keep Israel Jewish. The pygmies of Congo, etc., will be a tale of history as they Westernize and become genetically diverse. Globalization will have lasting genetic and cultural impacts on humanity. One day there will a Walmarts and McDonalds chains in the rain forests and Aboriginals wearing Nike.
