"Won't do anything that..."

Just a thought. If we're limiting the criteria to killing moderate sized animals, anything from a .22 Short through a .460 Weatherby Magnum and beyond won't do anything that an arrow created in the dawn of prehistory won't do. And that arrow won't do anything that a fairly straight tree limb with a fire hardened sharp end won't do. They will all poke a hole in an animal's vitals. If you only want to talk about firearms, none of the above will do anything that a lead ball from an arquebus of the 15th century won't do, and that won't really do anything that a gonne from the 12th century won't do. Again, they will all poke a hole in an animal's vitals. They all kill stuff.


Now, if you want to talk about the refinements of distance, accuracy and a whole plethora of more esoteric hair splitting criteria...
