If you'd like to read a really excellent book about the aerial recon program over the island I recommend Blue Moon over Cuba . Tons written about the politics of the event but this is really about the tactical squadrons that did the photo work. The bulk were Navy RF-8's but it also covers the RF-101 and U-2. Well worth a read. Not an accurate clip but it always gets me smiling - Other than Major Rudy's U-2 being bagged (and the book covers that Russian FU in detail) no planes suffered any damage. If something on the internet makes you angry the odds are you're being manipulated
