Yes. 15.9 oz is more weight than I want for a non-twisting scope. I dislike huge, heavy scopes. In the last 10 years 2-7x36s have replaced 3-9x40s for me. A straight 4 or 6, or 1-5ish variable is sometimes even better. But I don't shoot things in the dark or at 700 yards either. If I was into that my preferences would surely be different.
