No. Being Jewish is something you choose to do. Same as being Cathloic. Your religion can be Jewish. Not Swedish, German, or Irish. If both of your parents are Catholic, you can still be Jewish. If your parents are German, you can't decided to be Swedish part time.

So if you're descended directly from Abraham and live in Israel, but choose to be a Christian, you're no longer a Jew?
