What was your thoughts on going with the 308. Seems by far the most popular choice.
I’ve spent time with 7’s and 30’s, and a coin flip would probably be plenty good enough to choose between ‘em.
I’m awfully fond of the .300 Sav, which is more or less a .308 Win with a very slight cold. I figure I can load the latter down ‘til it acts like the former.
84M’s have always felt amazing in my hands at the gun stores, and I’ve spent years talking myself out of one. The Mrs. has been getting on me about, “self care” as of late, so when the rifle showed up in the classifieds not long ago, it was an easy choice. I even got to become acquainted with an excellent 24HCF member, in the process.
