This thread just goes to show that fit is one of the most important things when selecting rifles. Different strokes for different folks. I think, as of now, I've owned Kimber Montanas in every chambering they've offered except the 204. I've owned a couple of Fieldcrafts. I love both; but, the Montana, in both the 84s and 8400s just fit me better.

I also agree with a couple of others earlier in this thread. I consider myself a shooter with a reasonably high recoil tolerance. I always let common sense guide me though. Getting to above the 270 level begins to test my "comfort level" with these lightweights.
