whenever I use tapered wads in straight walls...they piff or poof.

so...the waa12L was factory intended for 7/8oz loads.
correct?
if so, I know which way to go with them.
im going to be using 700x and cf aa hulls with them.
My shooting partner who shoots 3/4 oz loads exclusively uses the Winchester AA 12L (grey) wad with Alliant "Extra Light" powder. He had used 700X for years in all his reloads continuing to use 700X for 3/4 oz loads and just switched over to using Alliant Extra Light powder which burns so much cleaner than 700X.
