Here is the the reality.
The Diskinson isn’t a bad SxS. I have seen a couple with some nice wood, but wood is mostly lipstick. They have a long way to go before they prove themselves. Other than that, they haven’t been pounded on enough to have any kind of basis to recommend them.
Those SKB’s are fine SxS’s that are proven and certain ones are exceptional.
That being said most good SxS and O/U’s will not be found for $1500.
If you have to have one now, then those SKB’s as mentioned are excellent buys. If you willing to wait and research SxS’’s and inquire, read and handle a few, then you may want to save and get exactly what you want. Some of the better Spanish examples are as well made as most of the British shotguns and in fact are extremely popular over there. Good used ones can be found, and a friend has just bought a couple older Urgartecha examples in the $2500 range. Relatively plane, but solid, well made and proven.
