They've never developed a "permanent" vaccine for a coronavirus, as they continually mutate and adapt. Any vaccine will most likely be much later than August, and only effective against former strains of COVID-19.

Most likely with what we know now, this will be a new human virus that circulates around the world every season in perpetuity.
