Ok, since sooooo many of you are interested in these adapters 😅..... here’s a quick report.
We shot them in three different shotguns.
One 12 ga single shot.
One 20 ga single shot and a Browning BSS 20 ga.
All loads were with Pyrodex RS 80 gr volume.
Shot was #6 @ 80 and 90 gr volume.
Over powder and shot wads were balled wax paper as per instructions......
All loads were turkey worthy at 20 yards.
The 12 was ok at 30 yards, but the 20’s were pretty open.
The 12 is a full choke, while the single 20 is modified and the BSS is mod/impcyl.
Our turkey hunting will be from blinds at pinch point travel areas and strut zones, so 20 yards will work.
We can harvest three toms each. I’d like to take a couple with the black powder rigs just for fun.
Clean up was what you’d expect from any bp gun with a removable breach plug and barrel.
So, easy but that good old rotten egg stink!
It’s a cheap way to experiment with a smooth bore bp shotgun, without the firearm purchase expense.
