It's taken me eons to even remotely warm to them.
But when asked what rifle for either a new hunter or someone that hunts but has little knowledge on the latest/greatest, I almost always recommend a Tikka.
I was the same way - just could not like them and made fun of a couple friends that shot them. Then I finally bought one of the Superlites - always been a sucker for fluted barrels on rifles. Changed a few things on that rifle and now its one of my 2 go to rifles I use. Its shoots, its lightweight even with a 20oz scope and seems to have good hunting Mojo:)
