Ogives seem to do a great deal of wandering around within a box of bullets. I suppose they get bored and are looking for a little exercise.

Might not hurt to check the calipers? I’ve seen some do some funky things in my line of work. Otherwise I’m thinking that if you use something like a Hornady LnL comparator, measure base to ogive, any significant variation should come from the seating operation?
