When the weather is nice, a 4” 29-2 or mountain gun with .44 or .45LC “workin’ loads” in an El Paso Threepersons rig.

When the bears are asleep, a 4” 19-4 with 125 or 158 gr black Hills JHP.

When there’s a lot of climbing, a Shield .45 with 255gr BuffaloBore.

Most of the time, a tuned 10mm SR1911 with 200 gr Underwood hardcast or XTP.
