Some real nice revolvers here. I like most prefer a 22 when carrying a rifle, now its my Ruger Mark IV, used to be an inexpensive single action revolver. Hikes locally, its usually my S&W 637 with a couple of rounds of snake shot followed by 3 rounds of 125 gr HP's or Sig 320 Compact. Weekend camping, longer excursions, S&W 19 4" or Ruger Security Six. Read once that an ideal carry/trail gun is a 3" 357, not really a bad choice for what I may encounter
