Cut them off, erase the debt, zero trade, zero travel. Tell every country to do the same.
They like watching countries collapse so much they might as well study it up close.
That would almost guarantee war. China would have nothing to lose. They would have high unemployment, less access to resources, and a huge population of single males due to the one child policy. Add in the loss of face and China would feel forced to act, much like Japan did when we cut off steel and oil exports to them in 1941.
