It’s funny my dad hated snakes with a passion. I have zero fear of them and think nothing of picking one up, as I do quite often. On the other hand I can’t stand spiders. Hate the damn things worse than taxes. My dad on the other hand wasn’t bothered by them at all.
I know where I got it from. My older sister was terrified of spiders. She couldn’t stand to even look at one on TV and would run out of the room screaming if one came on the screen. I saw that as kid and I think it stuck with me. I’m not even nearly as bad as her, but I still don’t like them.
I think fear of certain critters is all learned behavior. Some say it’s genetic programming or instinctual. I think that’s BS.
I think you are right. I can't think of any NA animal that I dislike, much less hate. Neither of which is liking, btw.
