What about the 3.5 Eco with max tow package or a Chevy/GMC with 6.2? Is 7000# all those trucks want?
Last I heard, the 6.2 gasser is only available in 1/2 ton chevy trucks.
They put the lower HP 6.0 in the 3/4 and one tons. Even though the 6.0 produces less HP, it is better suited to pulling heavy loads. It is not just about peak HP.
The 3/4 and one ton also have bigger brakes and springs which gives better stability and stopping power.
