Tinea Versicolor.......I've got it too, on my back. don't think so have used meds for fungus, didn't do anything. This is what I had and it took a concentrated topical to go away and it took like 6 weeks to disappear completely. The medicine fixes it in days but the discoloration takes quite a while to go away.
