Dose any one here have any experience with heave bullets in the 35 Whelen? 275gr. and up.
I have some Hawk 275gr. bullets on order. Just wondering if any one has any load data and/or hunting experience.

In answer to your hunting question, I took a huge Shiras Bull Moose last year in Colorado with my Ruger Hawkeye SS/Syn 35 Whelen with 1:12 barrel twist and a 280 gr. SAF going 2,300 fps.
He was standing broadside at 40 yds. when I hit him in the shoulder. He took four steps and fell over dead. Found the bullet under the hide on the opposite side.
