When Gibson had it there were more cattle than ever. But, the ranch was bigger then (45'000) acres and it was overgrazed those years. When Gibson sold it to Kent Williams, the ranch only had their own cattle for a few years and he started laying off his employees (mostly my family members), and downsizing and turning it into a horse riding/boarding business.
Gibson hardly ever was around, and was good to the guys.
Right now any of the grazing is down with other ranchers cattle.
Before Gibson, the ranch was probably the #1 Polled Hereford ranch in the world.

I have nieces and nephews that grew up there and my son worked there for 10 years.
None of them planned on moving!
