Lots of complaints persist on the new (Remington) 1895 guns. But of all the newer guns that I have seen, the quality issues seem to have been resolved.
Likewise for the 1894.
Lots of bad reports from guys who bought guns from suppliers who still had the poorer made transition guns. The new stuff is much better received as evidence by yours.
