Probably a lot more junior officers who are not eligible to retire, are just quitting. Hard to imagine many new recruits wanting to go with NYPD.
Oh yes, they will find people with some sort of social work or psychology degree to go out and do soft empty hand negotiations. And really bad stuff is going to start happening in places where urban and suburban whites live as they become prey due to their non self reliance when it comes to defense against said predators.
