Under Oregon law, a squatter must show he has maintained open, exclusive and continuous use of the property for at least 10 years, and to have honestly believed he owned the property. Yet it can't be conferred to people who know they are trespassing or, as in Logsdon's case, breaking and entering.
I suspect the "honestly believed he owned the property" part pretty much takes them out given we have property taxes to pay in this state.
The process of evicting a squatter generally goes something like this:
1.Call the police immediately. When you find someone on your property, call the police. ...
2.Serve an eviction notice. Serve the squatter with an eviction notice. ...
3.File a lawsuit. ...
4.Have the squatter removed. ...
5.Handle any belongings left behind.
