I would say that five incidences of this over about a ten year period was about average for a popular young teacher living in the neighborhood over during which period about 1,000 former students graduated. They initiated contact with me, I have never initiated contact with a former student.
Overall, looking at my contributions to this thread, this from a longtime teacher with a flawless record.
