Most people here in Erie, like Smith's.
I don't know that I have a "favorite" hot dog but Smith's are damn good.
Sorry benchman I guess right now my favorite hot dog would be a sizzledog from the White Turkey in Conneaut Oh (which are deep fried). I guess the ones at Village Green in Kingsville are a close second; I think they are Smith's but deep fried as well. They are both very very good.
