I don’t really notice recoil of the 45-70. I generally shoot the cowboy action rounds and have shot the federal 300 grain hunting rounds with no issues. I haven’t shot it from the bench and shoot it from a standing or sitting positions using a Bog Pod. I just ride along with the recoil. It’s more of a shove not a sharp hit. That 400 grain Cowboy Action lead Bullet will kill anything I hunt with it.
I may have the barrel threaded for a Rugged suppressor I have sitting in suppressor timeout. I can see a early 21 pig hunt with a suppressed 45-70 and a thermal on a lever action......
