Couldve at least wandered around in the store and ate that ice cream, THEN leave the empty over in electronics.
I once follow a lady through a checkout line. She had a basket full of junk food wrappers that she presented to the checker. She apparently had eaten her way through the whole store but she was honest enough to keep the wrappers and pay for it all.
