Someone should do a study on skunk spray. You've seen those videos of beat verses woverine... Bear verses badger. .. If there's enough data on bear verses skunk, and the skunks consistently chased them off..... Wouldn't it make more sense to design a skunk spray?
I think some have had dogs that succeeded in killing skunks after getting sprayed.

That's a good question. That's come up many times in my line of work. Until recently, nobody wanted to risk testing that theory on anything but wasps. I've taught for decades why I do not recommend wasp spray for self defense against humans. There's better options. I've never considered it for dangerous wildlife. (BTW, my earlier comment about the James Bond snake spray and Bic lighter was a joke the video reminded me of. I think someone might have taken me seriously...not you. I wasn't clear, for anyone else who is wondering.)
