That is a Winchester Model 70 receiver. The G prefix started in the early 1970's.

Sometimes he would modify bolt handles and knobs, which can be interesting.

Guesstimate is late '70's - 80's, maybe '90's based on the number and when he was most actively building.

He often used Blackburn bottom metal, but not always.

Barrels often were Douglas, but not always.

The wood is walnut, hard to guess the source, at least for me. A wood expert might know.

I have two by him, a .308 and a .30-06. Very nice shooting rifles.

Been looking for a .300 to go with them.
