A good thorough dunk before skinning keeps the hair off the meat when you peel the hide. I always take my squirrels to a creek, river or lake to do that chore.
That sounds like a good idea. I'm going to give that a try especially since I always skin and clean my squirrels in the field anyway rather than wait till I get home.
