That’s a nice sentiment and I wish it were so. Thinking that you’re going to take people of various DNA, abilities, attitudes, cultural and religious upbringings and that they’ll magically form one nation simply by being placed on the same soil just isn’t realistic.
There’s no magic in the soil of America or Europe what made them what they are was people of a certain ancestry and religious faith.
I have no problem with anyone being proud of their race, religion, or nationality, but there is a time and place for that. If you are a citizen of the US, then I expect you to damn well act like it. I have no problem with someone being black, I do have a problem with them being African-American. Miles
