Essentially two party state needs two divided populations. Meaningless slogans like 'Audacity or Hope' or 'Make America Great Again' also help motivate supporters. Note 'Make America Prosperous Again' was not chosen last time because it would not be controversial and able be divide the electorate. The 'Fake News' concept was a form of media censorship designed to make target audience listen to certain news and commentaries. A stroke of genius from current administration, but for listeners lack of objective information to make correct conclusions.
