Changing the belt on my Razor is easy IF you have the right tools. You need a 10mm socket with an extension to get the cover off. Then you need a way to get the belt off. I used a pry bar to pull it sideways as I turned the sheave. Getting the new one on takes more work. A strap wrench to turn the sheave helps, too. I don't know about the CanAm, but with the Polaris, if it grinds when you shift gears, you need a new belt.

edited to add: you also need a couple different sizes of wrenches to remove the seat belt bar. I can't remember exactly what sizes they are.
