Scratch resistant, yes, but far from scratch proof. Never wipe the dust off without getting it wet. Dust is abrasive and it's like using fine sandpaper on it. I carry a spray bottle and a soft towel to clean it with on occasion. That applies to all plastics, including eye glasses.
