Leupold makes a one piece base for the 99, it works well. Weaver has 2 piece sets, though they had some bad ones go out in the last 5 years or so that are off. Most Weavers work fine, just a heads up. Weaver bases are the #14 and #19.


I much appreciate your advice about the Weavers and the identification #s for them.

As the receiver on these appears to be very stout enough I wouldn’t think that a one piece base would be a “have to” type thing for it.

I’m planning on a fixed 6X for it, probably a Meopta or a Trac Toric if they offer one in fixed pwr.

This will certainly wind up on down the line in the hands of grandson #2 and I want him to have something of value, Sporting wise.

Would you hazard a fair estimate of what this is worth?
