I have those old weaver pivot mounts on a ‘66DL in 308 with a 4x Leupy Mark 8 on it. All period correct to the gun. It all works perfectly. The pivot mounts surprised the hell out of me. Never seen anything like them and they hold zero, surprisingly. In my sparing use of that feature. Good trade. I think you got the best of it. Mine was in pretty high condition when I bought it. It went 760. That was a few years ago now. Have had a couple people offer me more. Nahhh, I’m not selling it. The pressed checkering on mine k Ickes down the value, but then the people who offered to buy it didn’t seem to care. Neither do I.

Not anywhere near period correct but I have in the box a Bushnell 4200 Elite 2x10, plex with the Firefly reticle that’s gonna sit on top. So, I’m gonna try that first before springing for a 6X fixed.
