Early on, I read that .355 was picked for manufacturing reasons. Don’t know for certain, but I doubt that reloading convenience was a consideration when they dreamed this up. Most likely it’s primary market isn’t rifle cranks, but rather deer hunters. Handloaders will be better served with a Max, IMO, but the path to one of those is a bit more troublesome.
IF I wanted one, I’d find out what the barrel on rifle I wanted was actually bored, and act accordingly.
