Yeah - great deal on the Parrus.
My .177 is pretty nice and shoots well, but the .22 I just got has a lot of spring drag when you return the barrel to lockup, heavy & unpredictable trigger and an uneven crown. Part of me wants to keep it but I'm pretty sure its going back. The .177 has been good to me since Day 1.

MM, I recently put a new (made in Korea) Bushnell Trophy XLT on my RWS 350 NTEC in .22, and so far it is holding up fine. Bushnell claims that it is magnum springer-rated (I called) and they are inexpensive enough.
Mine is a 4-12x40 AO that I got at Wal-Mart. Easy return if there's an issue.
I have two earlier ('90's-2000's era) Trophys that have held up for a long time on springers. The most heavily used has been on my .177 Parrus now for around 200-250 shots or so. No issues.

I look for them used now, since Bushnell backs them for springers.
Bushnell also makes a dedicated airgun line and sells them as Tasco's. They are also springer-warranted and not terribly expensive. My guess is that they're the Bushnell version of a UTG/Center Point scope.
Plus there's always the Hammers 3-9x40 AO. Some of the affordable Discovery scopes are specifically springer rated too.
